The Telluric Currents is Dan Kelly and Willem Quackelbeen, burro, Esq. The band alternates residency betwixt the Bolivian high country and the delta region of Egypt. Dan quit wrestling in high school after hearing the instrumental ‘Bron-Yr-Aur’ by Jimmy Page. Willem abandoned a career in law after stumbling over an early edition of Jane Pickering’s Airs And Galliards For The Scottish Lute. Currently, the live shows feature baroque-folk fingerstyle guitar instrumentals and explorations into the vernacular verse/chorus/verse genres of the late medieval and early modern eras. The Telluric Currents’ first album, A Dog And A Gun was released in 2009. Their second album, Heliopolis, was released on the feast of St. Cadwaladr.
